Calling all hip hop practitioners, it's that time again. Everyone knows that the quickest way to attempt a come back in the entertainment business is to sign up for a reality TV show. Sometimes a miracle can occur when you examine characters like Flavor Flav or regaining success. There have been countless calculated tries to resuscitate one's bleak career from obscurity, and now a once favored R&B starlet has taken the plunge.
The cast for Dancing With The Stars' ninth season has been announced and, with 16 contestants, and is the show's largest number of contestants to date. Songstress Mya will be tapping and swinging her way on to the set. The funny thing about Mya is that she's a renowned trained dancer anyway, so doesn't that give her the upper hand? Well at least it means that if she gets the boot early we shouldn't feel too sorry.
Now some reality TV stars actual compete to pay the bills and try to make ends meet. You're only as good as your last hit. Its standard that when your career dies you still have to make a way to feed yourself. I can't say that this was Mya's reason because the timing is very in tuned to the release of her new single Show Me Something featuring rapper Bun B. Let's face facts, Mya has been struggling to release an album for some time now, so she needs a little boost.
Who can deny that we all saw how astounding well Lil Kim did last season so if you're a Mya fan than be sure to keep your fingers crossed and wish her well. Either way it should be amusing to watch her out twerk fellow dancing cast mate Macy Gray.
