The Trend Of Amerie

Amerie

Once again, every few summers the lovely and beautiful Amerie does it again. She releases an album, delivers hit singles and disappears.

In 2003, it was the summer of Why Don't We Fall In Love from her All I Have album. Then in 2005, she put a Touch on audiences with the hot single 1 Thing.

Why R U is blasting airwaves and the video is on constant shuffle among the music stations. The album's pending title, In Love & War has a July/August release date and ,according to EW.com, will be produced by L.A. Reid and Len Nicholson.

But why does this time around, Amerie seems to have it all together.

She's switched record labels, deciding to go to Island Def Jam from Columbia and reinventing herself musical style by incorporating soul and funk into her production.

But will this be enough for her to be forthright and comparable to her label mates Rihanna, Chrisette Michelle and Mariah Carey?

From judging from her newest video for Why R U, Amerie reinvention has made her even more incredible in the sexiness arena and vocally and lyrically she's gotten a lot better. So, yes Amerie I believe this album will truly be her breakout and make her headliner in the game.
