Former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks has unveiled a brand new song titled Battlefield. The mid-tempo track is written and produced by One Republic's singer Ryan Tedder.

According to reports, Battlefield is the first single off her upcoming second studio album that is expected to hit stores on July 14. Jordin promises to include "upbeat" dance tracks, which will make the album sound more like Beyonce meets Rihanna.  

The song is available for digital download today (May 12) and will get radio airplays across America on May 25.
