The rapper will be spending some time behind bars in the near future.
Beanie Sigel’s failure to pay federal income tax has landed him with a two year prison sentence. The prison sentence comes after Sigel was found guilty of failing to pay $728,000 in federal income taxes.
MyFox5 reports that Beanie Sigel did not file tax reports between the years 1999 and 2005, leading to his two year stint behind bars. The Broad Street Bully pleaded guilty to tax evasion in 2011.
Initially, Sigel faced a higher sentence. The MC could have incurred three years of incarceration for tax evasion.
This is hardly the first time that Beanie Sigel has been in trouble with the law, or, indeed, spent time on the inside. Sigel was imprisoned in 2004, on a count of gun and drug possession, and returned to prison in 2008, after violating his parole three times. Sigel’s prison woes do not end there, however. He is also currently facing another court case, this time due to a shooting incident, which occurred in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, outside the city’s Power 99.
Sigel is set to report to prison on September 12, 2012.
