During an interview with 16bars.tv, Harlem, New York rapper A$AP Rocky revealed that he will star as President John F. Kennedy in Lana Del Ray's National Anthem music video. She will star alongside him as his wife, Jackie Kennedy.
"That's just my homegirl," A$AP Rocky said about Lana Del Ray who he has worked with previously. The two linked up with The Kickdrums to record the song Ridin, which is set to be included on A$AP Rocky's upcoming debut album LongLiveA$AP.
The song was initially supposed to be included on the Kickdrums' mixtape, but plans were later changed. A$AP Rocky joked that this had to do with Lana being pregnant with his child, but he quickly revealed that he was joking, and that he and Lana are just good friends.
"We did a video together. It's called National Anthem… it's off her album Born To Die," Rocky explained in the interview. "I play JFK, she plays Jackie O. Some cool triply sh**, some real 2015 sh**. People are going to get it in three years and that's the whole purpose of it."
During the interview, A$AP Rock was also asked to name his five favorite Harlem records of all time, since he was born and raised in Harlem.
He answered Mase’s It Feels Good, Big L’s Put It On and Ebonics, Cam'ron’s Get 'Em Girls, and Max B’s Sexy Love.
