3 people were killed and 2 injured in a shooting early this morning (June 20) at a Houston, TX strip club. One of the 2 survivors is Houston rapper Trae The Truth. No details have emerged about whether or not the rapper was involved in what led up to the shooting but he has recovered from his injuries and been released from the hospital.
At 5:50am, a man with the Twitter handle @LowLifeDynasty posted a picture of Trae in a hospital gown and tweeted, "Everybody TRAE is ok, minor gunshot wound."
Houston police say they are waiting to speak with Trae about the incident. 2 males and one female were killed in the shooting at Scores Cabaret in southwest Houston.
According to the Houston Chronicle, witnesses say more than 20 shots were fired in the parking lot of the gentlemen's club. Police have no suspects in custody and no motive for the shooting but investigators say it may be related to a Father's Day domestic dispute. No one has been taken into custody.
Trae The Truth is known for a 2010 lawsuit in which he claimed a popular radio station in Houston had banned his music after a fight with rapper Mike Jones. More recently, he has aligned himself and his A.B.N. imprint with T.I.'s Grand Hustle and has released mixtapes with features from the industry's hottest emcees including Lupe Fiasco, B.o.B., Big K.R.I.T., Wiz Khalifa, Jadakiss, Drake, J. Cole, Tyga and more.
