The-Dream recently gave his opinion on Pusha T’s beef conundrum with Lil Wayne.
Following Lil Wayne’s diss, directed at Pusha’s Exodus 23:1, The-Dream had some words of advice for his one-time collaborator.
According to the R&B singer, the best way to counter Lil Wayne’s attacks, would be to produce good music.
In an interview with MTV, Pusha T rejected the idea of releasing a response record and stressed that making good music is the only valid way to address disses. Veering away from the idea of a full scale beef, The-Dream came out with some wise words from his grandfather.
"The only way that we can respond is make great records, and nobody is gonna beat me at that," he said.
Dream went on to relay a lesson that his grandfather taught him, in relation to the situation: "'If you're talking to somebody, you speak to them or you just walk up to them and slap them.' I think beef is so '96. It's like, what's the point? I don't think anybody is actually that good enough to direct anything at anyone. You can't take that much time, there's too much money in the words that either one of us have -- me or Pusha -- to direct directly at anyone."
