Second Season Of "Monica Still Standing" Up For Debate
Saturday - March 13, 2010 | Comments (1)

Monica R&B singer Monica shared the real life of her and her family on BET showing her struggles balancing being a musician and raising a family. Monica wanted her television show to capture her real life issues while maintaining a positive attitude towards each situation which may seem boring, unrealistic, and predictable to some viewers.

"I have issues, just like everybody else, but I look at things from a very positive point of view and I didn't want to do a reality show if it couldn't be seen for that. You know, that may equate to boring for some people, but for people who know that real life is hard enough and they just sometimes may want to hear a positive word or two or see somebody going through some of the same things and coming out of it, then this is a show they'll enjoy."

Monica disagrees that her show is contrived as she believes her show is a message that anything can be achieved with hard work and dedication. She relies on her relationships with her family to keep her faith strong and hopes to inspire viewers that may watch her show.

"I think that it's good for people to see that you can have the things that you truly want, and I don't mean that in a material way. I mean with relationships. We're very much a blended family. I have a mother and a stepfather who I love very much. I'm still very close to my own father. I have a brother, I have two small sons. I still have my career, all these different things, and it speaks volumes to your everyday person. I was pleased with how they showed it."

If there is a second season of Still Standing, cameras will follow Monica while she is on the road promoting her sixth studio album in over 4 years titled Still Standing which is set to release March 23, 2010.

"I think Season Two, what we'd do is we'd actually take the show out on the road, because now it's time for me to promote. So we won't try to do anything contrived."

Vistoso Bosses - The World Sucks Without Girls

Vistoso Bosses When cousins Taylah P. and Kelci found themselves bored and with nothing to do, rather than get into the typical type of trouble that most teenagers might find themselves in, they put their idle time to good use. Not content with just singing into the bathroom mirror, lip syncing to their favorite records, they became a full fledged group on their own. [Read More]
