Nas has recently spoken about his feelings regarding his divorce from R&B singer Kelis. On a track called Strong Will Continue featuring Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley off their joint project Distant Relatives, Nas questions the motifs of his ex wife of four years. In a court order it was decided that Nas is to pay $40,454 in spousal support and $10,647 in child support for their 6 month old son Knight monthly.

"Twisted and mangled, sort of like Bruce Lee life/ Cursed with his son Brandon/ If that's you and me Knight/ I pray our fate's greater. How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy/ When I pay child support, alimony monthly...So I've stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line/ Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time."

Nas' label mate Method Man also spoke on the situation calling Kelis ridiculous because no child needs that much money to survive.

"Ladies, let's be real and shit, for real for real, all you did was fuck your man. That money right there, a kid don't need that much money to survive and shit. You trying to maintain your lifestyle."
