Earlier this week during an interview with Philadelphia radio station, Power 99, both 50 Cent and Beanie Sigel seemed to announce Beans' move to G-Unit, as if it were a done deal.
However, in an interview on Thursday with MTV News, 50 pressed the brakes, saying, "I had a meeting with him today (November 5). We talked about different things. First, we gotta start with the music - where's the music? Then we have to get into what it would take to bring him over to G-Unit as a record company. But, ...you can't sign a deal in a conversation - it's a process. So, we'll see what happens."
Although Beans went from having what sounded like a confirmed deal with G-Unit to having a chance at a deal with the record label, Fif goes on to imply that it's a very strong possibility that just needs some kinks worked out. "I would listen to what he has. His skills haven't diminished. Nine times out of 10, he'll have something workable already on deck," he said .
To further explain his position, 50 went on to say: "When you're dealing with artists who have been established longer than you, it's a process. You have to figure out exactly where they are at before you commit to being a part of those kinds of projects, because they have habits and they've been conditioned for something different. You have to figure out exactly what that is before you dive in."
Beans isn't the only artist that 50 is looking into bringing over either. "I got artists who I'm looking at," he revealed. "A few of them aren't actively available for me to do different things with them. But I'm looking to sign new artists into the actual company."
