Things seemed to be looking up for hip hop's former power couple Nas and Kelis after they were spotted at an even over the summer, but the divorce is still on and the rapper has reportedly just filed court documents requesting to block any spousal support to his estranged wife.
Nas was previously ordered to pay Kelis $72,000 a month in spousal support.
Instead giving up the dough, Nas has filed paperwork through his lawyer to block any payments, says TMZ.
Nas is also seeking joint custody of the former couple's now 2-month-old son.
Nas and Kelis split earlier this year while the singer was still pregnant with their first child.
Kelis claimed Nas left her without a dime to her name and hired a notorious Los Angeles divorce attorney who helped her secure a judgment of $44,000 in monthly spousal support and additional funds for child support.
Shortly after, their child, a baby boy named Knight, was born.
Rumors of reconciliation were sparked this summer when the two were spotted out on the town.
"I'm happy Kelis is out with the baby and Nas," Russell Simmons wrote on Global Grind when he heard the news. "It made my heart happy! I know I speak for all GG when I say we wish them only happiness
At press time, neither party has issued any official public comment on their divorce.
