Although many artists ride the wave of success, only a few stay on top. Luckily for the Chicago rhymespitter J-LP, he has sailed straight to stardom. LP is a newcomer to the Hip-Hop game but he has already veteran presence.
J-LP is currently working on his debut album Struggle, Hu$tle, Hip-Hop.
"The concept of my album Struggle, Hu$tle, Hip-Hop is talking about my struggles in the past, and how I got to the hustle to survive. The hustle was something I went to because I simply needed money! So you hear about it! I don't wanna spit about hustling on every song, every album but there is defiantly some tracks on Struggle, Hu$tle, Hip-Hop that are that good Hustle Musik!"
Most recently the Chicago rapper has made a tremendous splash all over the country with his first single Rush that features heavyweight Ray J.
"My first single is titled Rush and features Ray J. This track is for the ladies, for the clubs but fellas trust me that 808 still goes hard in the whip! I wanted to put something out there that could be big as far as radio. I have been hearing a lot on the net, people saying it's hit but commercial. That's cool... this isn't the whole album, it's the club single aimed at women!"
J-LP has proven that he is a force in the underground but now it's time to go nationwide and even worldwide. So watch out for his freshman CD Struggle, Hu$tle, Hip-Hop that will be available in stores later this year.
