Born and raised in Mexico, why did you choose to relocate to the United States, specifically the city of sin, Las Vegas?
I had family that lived in Las Vegas at the time I made the decision to move there. I was visiting my family in Las Vegas and really liked the energy of the town and felt that it is a fun and exciting place to live. Also, I'm ready to do more work in the U.S. and felt that living here would benefit me greatly.
How does Las Vegas differ from your city of birth, Tabasco, Mexico?
Las Vegas is desert. Tabasco is a little town with tropical, beach weather, near the Gulf of Mexico. Tabasco has a lot of old traditions and delicious food.
Your native tongue is Spanish, are you fluent in English or any other languages as well?
Yes, I feel I'm fluent in English; however, I have much work to do to perfect my English speaking (while maintaining my little cute accent), reading and writing. I would also like to learn French.
Playboy Playmate and Cover Model, Miss Playboy TV - those are titles coveted by many, but only held by few. What attributes, other than the obvious, do you possess that helped you obtain the awards over others in line for the prize?
I feel that I won the awards due to the fact that I'm driven, persuasive, good hearted, persistent and consistently have a positive attitude.
How has being a Playmate shaped your career; and if you could go back would you do it again?
Being a Playmate has shaped my career by 34C-24-36 [laughs]. But seriously, being a Playmate has provided other models opportunities and exposure in the industry. If I could go back, I would 100% absolutely do it again!
Have you ever experienced any negativity based on your nude appearances?
No negative experiences, only sexy compliments!
Being that your Playboy appearances were in the Mexican version of the magazine, do you have desires to do Playboy USA?
Yes, of course I would be really, really excited to do Playboy USA!
You are the mother of a beautiful little girl. Does she know about your Playboy appearances? If so, how did she find out and how did she respond?
Yes, I do have a beautiful little girl, and yes, she does know about my Playboy appearances. We speak about it openly in our house and it is something that I told her myself. Her and my family are supportive of me and my decisions.
What other major modeling or acting work have you done?
I've done Playboy Mexico on three separate occasions. 2003 Playboy Playmate, 2004 Cover Girl, and Miss Playboy TV in 2004. I have also appeared in FHM Mexico in 2006, Maxim en Espanol in 2008, and Open Your Eyes (OYE) in 2008.
Has giving up your business administrative studies for modeling and entertainment paid off?
Yes, the modeling and entertainment industry is very fulfilling. I enjoy my career choices. I'm doing what I love to do.
Born on July 17th, you are a Cancer. Since Cancers are supposed to have considerable executive ability, do you aspire to one day return to your dreams of owning your own business?
Yes, I would love to someday in the future, own my own business or work with a large company.
You have so many major credits already including Playboy, Maxim, FHM, and Open Your Eyes (Oye) magazines. Where would you like to take your career in 2009?
In 2009, I'm working on my website www.ClubJannelle.com. I will also be appearing soon on Starlett.tv and shooting a few commercials which will be featured on Telemundo and Univision stations around the country. Doing music videos for major music artists and shooting for major mags such as KING, XXL, etc. are also 2009 goals.
Already one of the most well-known models in Mexico, how do you plan to represent further for your home land?
I feel I'm representing my home land of Mexico every time I do a successful shoot, interview, or modeling job.
Do you intend to involve yourself more in the US and other entertainment industries outside of Mexico? If so, what type of work are you seeking in the States or abroad?
Yes, I'm looking to do more modeling, videos, print, and Internet work in the US and abroad.
Your favorite choice of music leans more toward Dance and Electronic. Being that this is Yo! Raps, I must ask do you listen to any Hip Hop and if so, who would you say is your favorite artist and why? If not, what is it that you don't like about rap and other forms of Hip Hop music?
Yes, I listen to Hip Hop every day. My favorites are Three 6 Mafia, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. I enjoy the upbeat rhythm and style of Three 6 Mafia, the rough edges of 50 Cent, and the old school sounds of Snoop Dogg.
I know our readers are curious so before we "rap" up, what does a Playmate do in her free time?
Free time, what's that? [Laughs] Seriously, when I do get some extra time, I like to spend it with my friends and family. I enjoy dancing, going to the movies, and lounging by the pool.
