Ghostface

Calling all hip hop practitioners, it's that time again! As hip hop continues to diversify and blossom unto new thresholds many artist expand their creative talents into the stratosphere. Ghostface Killah who is already a respected raping dynamic as a solo force and as a group member of the acclaimed Wu Tang Clan is on a tangent crossing with his latest musical effort.

Fans can never get enough and he certainly wants to keep you fresh in stock, Ghost soon will be dropping an R&B album. Yes I said an R&B album, but before you get your panties in a bunch don't worry Ghost is still going to be delivering his unique blend of lyricism and rhyming we love to champion. The release will be called The Wizard Of Poetry.

The album is being labeled as an R&B collection because the R&B portion of the disc will come from other artists. In this case, expect notable R&B acts to join Ghostface Killah as he flows over soulful tracks. According to Lenny Santiago, Vice President of A&R at Def Jam, "Ghostface usually raps over melodic, soulful R&B tracks. This time, we came around and I had him rhyme over the same type of tracks, but we matched him with great R&B stars. John Legend is on there. Raheem DeVaughn is on there. Estelle is on there. Musiq Soulchild is on there. Lloyd is on there. We just paired him up. It's the same Ghost, the same gritty host, the same Ghost that talks to the ladies in that soulful voice along with R&B hooks."

This really seems like a savvy marketing approach for selling a traditional rap LP, I mean if I was a rapper who featured Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, and Toby Keith wouldn't it still be a rap album with some country features at the end of the day? Either way the cookie crumbles as he's about to hit the road on The Footprint Of Hip Hop tour, and getting ready to release his comic book, Cell Block Z the man is about to be anything but a ghost!
