Goodie Mob

Despite the constant rain and floods that have been plaguing Atlanta for the past few days, nearly 5,000 fans came out to the Remember Atlanta concert Saturday (September 19) at Masquerade Music Park.

The crowd was warmed up by DJ Jelly who played countless Southern hip-hop classics before other Atlanta rappers like Young Bloodz and Pastor Troy took the stage. Finally Goodie Mob came out with a live band to the theme from Rocky.

Each member was introduced one by one dressed in all red and exchanged greetings before breaking out into Goodie Bag before performing some of their hits like Soul Food, Beautiful Skin, Cell Therapy, and Black Ice.

Rumors spread that Outkast would also reunite for the show, but this never happened, although Big Boi did show up mid-way through the performance and took the stage to perform his verse from Dro In The Wind. Sleepy Brown also made an appearance and performed Steppin' Out. Cee-Lo also performed some of his solo and Gnarls Barkley songs including his renditions of Crazy, U Da 1 and the Frankie Beverly classic Before I Let Go. The only thing missing from the show was Andre 3000 but overall the 5,000 fans in attendance were treated to a great performance and a part of hip-hop history.
