Xplicit

"Real" seems to be an accurate description for Miami-based rapper, songwriter and lyricist Xplicit, born Alexander Izquierdo, on March 25, 1988, in Hialeah, FL.

Life's experiences have shaped Xplicit. From the challenge of dealing with his brother's drug struggles to the incarceration of his friend for murder, Xplicit is living proof that people can stay the course and avoid life's pitfalls. Early on Xplicit turned to Hip-Hop to express his frustrations instead of living life in the streets and soon he began to make his mark on the Hip-Hop game.

"My music is something original, real and unique. It's based on real life experiences and struggles that I went through. These experiences created a foundation for my music today," says the Florida rapper.

While forming his own style over the years, Xplicit credits Nas, Jadakiss, The-Dream, Ne-Yo, and his cousin, local music producer Mario Gonzalez aka Shakespeare, as his influences.

Although Xplicit's career is still in the early stages, he has already opened up for Hip-Hop heavyweights like production duo Cool & Dre, Fat Joe, Pitbull, Brisco, and many other artists, gaining fans with every performance.

"I love music, whether I'm performing in front of thousand or in a room of 50 people. I just do it," X said.

Xplicit's neverending grind keeps the Florida native's music being heard nationwide and even outside the US Hip-Hop market. In 2007, he landed a spot in Ozone Magazine's famous and popular "Patiently Waiting" section where the hottest new artists get a place to shine. Xplicit also appeared on MTV's Hoodfab show with producer Dre from Cool & Dre.

In March of 2009, Xplicit received his first major placement with Diddy on the Hip-Hop mogul's first single Diddy Bop from his upcoming album Last Train To Paris. Xplicit is credited with co-writing and his vocals are featured on the hook of the song. The track was played on the season finale of MTV's Making The Band.
