Southern Beef Brewing: Young Jeezy Vs. Gucci Mane & OJ Da Juiceman

Young Jeezy

Calling all hip hop practitioners, it's that time again. I guess the clock struck 5 and it was time to get off because Young Jeezy did exactly that. He's back at it, the on again off again beef is... well on again! Jeezy just leaked a new track entitle 24-23 where he raps his usually high profiled lyrics but this round he issues out a diss to his long time rival Gucci Mane.

Now if you know the history of these two southern bred counter parts then you will agree that it has been ugly and didn't always stay on wax. Back in 2005 Jeezy put out several diss songs against the rapper, claiming he was not paid sufficiently for his appearance on Gucci's hit single, So Icey. Gucci alleged that Jeezy went as far as putting a hit out on him, which many believe lead to Mane killing a man - rumored to be a Jeezy associate - in self-defense.

Since the much publicized drama sizzled out it's been mostly quite on the set, so what would make The Snowman re-enter into an old battle. He's silly rich and doesn't need the doe of course. Some may wonder could it be just to stir up controversy for a pending release. Maybe it's simply nothing other than reminding the world that he just doesn't like the guy and Jeezy is more than entitled to do such. The song in itself showcases Jeezy in gangsta mode and lyrically keeping it hardcore and cocky. The beat is dark and bouncy and sports the tune cohesively.

Jeezy takes aim stating, "I'm on my Louie shit today/ F--k some Gucci, mane," he spit. "These n-ggas still on my d--k/ They like some groupies, mane/ Can't keep they lips closed/ They worse than coochies, mane/ And that fruity looking stupid/ Like some Coogi, mane/ Let you trick me off these streets/ you must be stupid, mane/ Tell him this ain't what he want/ Not the boy Snow/ But between me and you/ I think the boy slow."

Then to add insult to injury Young Jeezy boldly turns his attentions towards Gucci Mane's partner OJ Da Juiceman. He jabs away freely with, "Straight shots to the head, fuck some juice, man," he added. "Next to real n-ggas in the city who got the juice, mane. these n-ggas talking bout the work but what they prove, mane. Y'all know these n-ggas really clowns but I'm the truth, mane. And this is what you goin' for then what's the use, mane. Tell him this ain't what he want, not the boy Snow. But between me and you, I think them boys slow." It's clear Young Jeezy isn't shy about expressing his thoughts.

Presently both Atlanta stars Gucci and OJ replied by simply expressing, "We not feeding in to that. We gettin money." In the near future it is hopeful that these clever rapping artist can continue to move forward in a positive direction and leave the antics behind, or at least keep it interesting for the public.
